Why It’s Important to Focus on What you Want
Imagine that you’re rummaging in the back of a dark closet and everything that you find is something that you don’t want. You complain that nothing looks good on you or that nothing is the style, fit or colour that you want. Regardless of not liking what you’re finding, you continue to adamantly search in the closet of old clothes. Now imagine that beside you is a beautiful, well-lit walk-in closet. It’s filled with clothing that you love and that fit your body perfectly.
When we complain and focus on what we don’t want and keep replaying old stories that are holding us back or keeping us stuck, it’s like being in this dark closet. When we focus on what we don’t want in our lives, it distracts us from aligning with what we do want in our lives. It prevents us from manifesting what we do want.
When we complain about the things that aren’t working for us, we’re hooking ourselves into what we don’t want. This is us practicing manifestation, but not in the way that we want. When we focus on what we don’t want, we also hook ourselves into lower vibrational states, such as frustration, helplessness and hopelessness. From these lower vibrational states, it’s less likely that we’re going to attract what we want in life. We’re no longer in alignment with the manifestation of our hearts desires.
In this video, we look at what happens in our lives when we complain about what we don’t want, instead of focusing on what we do want.
